Powerful energy-intensive equipment helps the Polotsk integration structure to accelerate the sowing pace
The integration structure, based at the Polotsk Grain Processing Plant, currently includes 37 agricultural enterprises with about 100 thousand hectares of arable land in seven districts of the region. The total grain acreage is 49.5 thousand hectares, of which more than half of the areas were sown with winter crops in the autumn. Spring sowing of grain crops is also nearing completion.
This year, as noted by Vasily Hamayonok, General Director of Polotsk GPP, the work is proceeding at a faster pace, facilitated by favorable weather conditions and a number of other factors. Among them are the provision of farms with powerful energy-intensive machinery, effective labor organization, and increased interest of people in high results through the regional competition announced for the spring field work.
In pre-sowing soil cultivation, tractor driver-machinist of the Polotsk GPP branch "Goryany-Agro" Dmitry Gorokh (pictured) has a good chance of winning. He is leading in his group in terms of work volume – 1255 hectares as of yesterday morning.
Dmitry works on a new powerful Kirovets-744R4 tractor with a 12-meter wide-grip Kockerling cultivator. He says he likes this kind of equipment and works with pleasure. In the field, the mechanizer works from six in the morning until late evening, cultivating up to 70 hectares per day, with a norm of 48. He knows that with due diligence, his daily earnings can reach up to 110 rubles, as the rate increases by 100% when the norm is exceeded.
Currently, as noted by Mikhail Maksimenko, Deputy General Director of GPP for Agriculture, the agricultural enterprises of the integration structure have 144 units of energy-intensive machinery, of which 32 were acquired in the last two years. Thanks to the use of modern units, the quality of land cultivation has also significantly improved. After deep loosening, the soil is saturated with air, the fields become more even, which will undoubtedly also affect the reduction of crop losses.
All high-power tractors are equipped with a GPS navigation system, which allows real-time monitoring of labor productivity and fuel consumption.
Stones are collected from the fields daily. Some of the soil cultivation machinery also operates at night to ensure a sufficient workload for wide-cut seeding complexes like Amazone, where the best machine operators sow 70-100 hectares of grain and leguminous crops per day, compared to the norm of 42 hectares.
New powerful machinery is rationally distributed across the zones of the integration structure. Eight mechanized teams have been formed at the supporting farms and at the grain processing plant itself. These teams are dispatched to assist agricultural enterprises that lack their own resources. Such support, for example, has significantly improved the situation at the problematic agricultural production cooperative "Glibochany", part of whose land has been transferred for temporary use to one of the strongest branches, "Goryany-Agro".
In addition, specialized units have been formed within the holding for hauling organic matter and repairing machinery. This season alone, 11 tractors designated for write-off have been restored by our own efforts and are now successfully in operation.
