Moscow managers are going to work in Vitebsk for the "Slavianski Bazaar" festival.

June 30, Vitebsk / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. Moscow "white-collar workers" are becoming downshifters and are coming to work in Vitebsk for "Slavianski Bazaar," the festival directorate told a BELTA correspondent. Every year in early July, several managers from reputable companies in Moscow and St. Petersburg exchange offices, incomes, and stresses for peace of mind, sleepless nights, and a small fee at the Vitebsk festival for two weeks. Moreover, they do not hold leadership positions but perform routine work of meeting, accommodating, and escorting festival guests. This is a peculiar form of downshifting – a way to change the course of one's life, even for a short time. Along with managers, and not only from Moscow, employees, students, and even artists from the local theater become temporary workers for the directorate. As the directorate reported, all festival services, numbering almost two dozen, are ready to welcome guests: they are equipped with the necessary equipment and consumables. In the coming days, the first accreditations will be issued – these will be received by translators working with young contestants of the "Vitebsk 2009" song competition, and on July 3, the accommodation service will begin operating – festival participants will start arriving in Vitebsk. -0-
