Interactive whiteboards and computer nutrition programs are used in schools in Beshenkovichi
– This includes a computer class and a refrigerator for Secondary School No. 1 of Beshenkovichi, and the purchase of a multi-board – a board-computer – is next in line. Such a board is already available at Secondary School No. 2. Shower cabins have also been renovated there this year. For these two educational institutions, standing desks and modern desks for primary school have been purchased. Teacher's boards have been replaced at Ulla Secondary School. Three plasma panels have been ordered – for Secondary School No. 2, the district Center for Children and Youth, and the Ulla kindergarten, as well as outdoor equipment for the district center's preschool institutions and toys for all kindergartens. For a higher quality organization of meals in educational institutions, electronic scales and the computer program "Masha" have been purchased. The "Dvina" Physical Culture and Sports Complex and educational institutions have been replenished with new exercise machines and sports equipment, – reported **Svetlana Solokho, Head of the Department of Education, Sports and Tourism of the District Executive Committee**.
Considerable attention is paid to the Beshenkovichi District Gymnasium-Boarding School, which was established in 2008 on the basis of a special school. It has two computer classes: one is used as an IT classroom, the second is for studying English and German.
– In 2016, the district executive committee allocated funds for the purchase of a chemistry classroom for the gymnasium, but it so happened that it is also being supplied under a republican program. With the funds allocated by the district executive committee, the biology classroom was equipped, including with a modern multimedia device and screen, – said **Elena Karbovskaya, Director of the Gymnasium-Boarding School**.
All conditions for education are created for the 145 gymnasium students. The cozy canteen offers express breakfast and a set lunch for city children, and four meals a day for the 17 students living in the boarding school.
The educational institution joined the regional project "School of Ecological Culture" and has been working in this direction for the second year. In 2016, a small winter garden was created here, which currently only contains plants that release phytoncides, which is important during the cold season. The garden will change by spring.
The library inherited many books from the former special needs school. The collection is constantly replenished: required works by Belarusian authors are supplied, educational literature is updated, and some items are purchased with its own funds.
– We would like to have more modern fiction for children, – noted **librarian Valentina Tkachenok**.
Library staff initiated a bookcrossing movement at the gymnasium: after reading a book, a person leaves it in a public place for someone else to find and read. Now there are many people willing to exchange books here. And new editions are constantly appearing in a designated spot in the winter garden.
