The multimodal industrial and logistics complex in Bolbasovo will be created in three stages
The implementation of a large-scale project in the village of Bolbasovo, Orsha district, is planned to be completed before 2023, with an estimated investment volume of almost 1.2 trillion rubles.
The project is being implemented in accordance with Decree No. 334 of July 21, 2015, by the Minsk private company "Bremeno Group". The complex will be a major hub designed for raw material processing, cargo handling, storage and transshipment, as well as coordination and interaction of various types of transport. As reported to "VV" by the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee's Economy Committee, the first stage, up to and including 2018, involves the construction of an administrative building, two warehouse complexes with areas of 10 thousand sq. m and 20 thousand sq. m respectively, as well as a parking lot for 500 heavy trucks and a small hotel. The second stage will extend until 2021 and may be the most investment-intensive. During this period, it is planned to build consolidation warehouses with an area of 50 thousand sq. m, a 1 km railway track, a container site and a location for oversized cargo, as well as an office complex with a business center. According to the project authors, at least 520 billion rubles will need to be attracted for these purposes, while the first and third construction phases cost 320 billion and 350 billion respectively.
The final stage will primarily involve the creation of facilities and infrastructure for organizing industrial production. In general, the project financing is expected to be carried out through the investor's own funds, as well as through attracting credit resources and other investors. After the completion of the complex, some of its facilities will be transferred to state ownership, and they will be managed by RUP "Beltamozhservice".
Overall, the implementation of the investment project will accelerate the creation of a multi-level system of transport and logistics centers in Belarus and increase the country's transit attractiveness and its potential in this area of activity, as well as increase the inflow of foreign currency earnings and tax payments to the budget. In addition, it is planned to create more than 400 jobs at this site, which will have a favorable impact on the local labor market.
