A museum of autographs of Belarusian and foreign writers has been created in Glubokoye

Mini-Museum of Autographs Opened at the Glubokoye Central District Library.

The exhibits for it were collected by the cultural institution's staff over many years, carefully preserving books with dedicatory inscriptions from famous writers, poets, and publicists who visited the district center for meetings with readers, noted Valentina Spasibenok, Director of the Glubokoye Centralized Library System.

Currently, the collection holds over two hundred books with autographs from Ivan Shamyakin, Gennady Buravkin, Ales Pismenkov, Vladimir Orlov, Danuta Bichel-Zagnetova, and others. However, the first to leave his signature in the book "Frontovaya Azbuka" in 1968 was Leontiy Rakovskiy, a native of the district center. One of the latest exhibits was received as part of the "Cherry Festival" from Sharkovshchina writer Ekaterina Sosna. In general, over 10% of such handwritten "traces" from their total number were added to the collection during the Day of Belarusian Written Language, which took place in Glubokoye in 2012.

By the way, for the convenience of users, the library staff has developed an electronic database that contains extensive information on the historiography of autographs.
