A museum of the history of the development of the education system of the district has appeared in Polotsk
The project, the idea of which appeared in Polotsk a long time ago, is timed to coincide with the Year of Science in Belarus. Its implementation took about two years, and almost all educational institutions of the district contributed to the creation of the retrospective exhibition. The museum is located on the basis of Secondary School No. 16 in Polotsk. The exhibits collected in it reflect the history, modern achievements, and creativity of the teachers of Polotsk region. For example, in the chronicle hall, you can get acquainted with the most significant events in the life of each school in the Polotsk region.
The Hall of Labor Glory of Pedagogical Workers will tell visitors about the best teachers, winners of various pedagogical competitions, and school principals. You can see that they are well-rounded individuals and jacks-of-all-trades in the Art Gallery of Pedagogical Workers, which features the creative works of teachers. The Hall of the History of the Development of Education in Polotsk is dedicated to the most prominent and famous educational institutions of the past: the first school, opened thanks to Euphrosyne of Polotsk, the Jesuit collegium, the brotherhood school, the higher Piarist school, the cadet corps, and the girls' and boys' gymnasiums. In this hall, you can also sit at a handmade desk and leaf through the pages of textbooks that were used in the first half of the 20th century.
