A military equipment museum will open soon in the Vitebsk region

Музей военной техники откроется в ближайшее время в Витебской области

Tanks, guns, and other types of military artillery have appeared in the Komsomoltsy and Youth Park in the center of Beshenkovichi. As reported by Anatoly Zhurko, Head of the Department of Architecture and Construction of the District Executive Committee, an open-air museum of military equipment will soon be located here.

— At our request, the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Belarus provided 8 exhibits, — Anatoly Alexandrovich said. — To date, the following have already been installed: a T-80 combat tank, a SU-100 Soviet self-propelled gun, an anti-tank guided missile (ATGM), an armored personnel carrier, an anti-aircraft gun, and two cannons. Only the combat vehicle of the airborne troops remains to be installed. Concurrently, landscaping work is underway, including the laying of paving slabs. We plan to restore the monument to the fallen Komsomol members, which stands in the center of the alley.

In the future, the park will become a true attraction of the urban settlement. Although local children are already coming here with great interest and admiration to touch history and take pictures against the backdrop of military equipment under a peaceful sky.
