Men of the Vitebsk region will be the most gallant and attentive on March 8, the acting first secretary of the Vitebsk regional organization of the BRSM, Lyudmila Kapranova, told a BELTA correspondent. More than 1.5 thousand young people from the Vitebsk region will take part in the republican campaign "The Best Gift is Attention". These are activists of primary BRSM organizations, volunteers, and members of youth law enforcement units. On March 8, they will take to the streets of their cities to help all ladies in need of male support: young people will carry heavy bags, offer a hand when exiting public transport, open doors at the right moment, and also simply give a smile and congratulate them on the holiday. Meeting points with the most gallant and attentive men are determined in advance. For example, in Vitebsk, they can be met near the railway station, at public transport stops in the city center, the interlocutor said. The campaign is designed to bring joy and a few pleasant moments to women. However, along with this, it should remind all men that it is necessary to treat women with respect and attention always, and not only on holidays, Lyudmila Kapranova added. As reported by the Department of Culture of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, traditional events in honor of the holiday will be held in the region on the eve of March 8: solemn receptions, round tables, concerts, solemn meetings, and thematic exhibitions will be prepared by libraries. The Vitebsk Regional Museum will open an exhibition of Olga Anufrieva's works "Reflection of the Soul", and the Art Museum will host an exhibition "My Precious Woman", prepared by artists from the regional center. -0-
