Vitebsk residents will see musical and circus fantasies on International Museum Day

May 18, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. Vitebsk residents will see musical and circus fantasies today on International Museum Day, a BELTA correspondent reports. The art project "Musical and Circus Fantasies by Marc and Kazimir" is being held for the first time by the Vitebsk Center for Contemporary Art. The event is dedicated to the founders of the Vitebsk art school - Marc Chagall, Kazimir Malevich, El Lissitzky. "These artists created a whole gallery of unforgettable images associated with the circus, theater, and music," the center noted. The participants of the vibrant performance will be artists of the "Incredibly Strange Circus" under the direction of Honored Artist of Russia Nikolai Chelnokov, Vitebsk artists, gymnasts of the sports club under the direction of Valeria Bazhenova, members of the "Move-art" studio of the Vitebsk Center for Contemporary Art, and informal music groups of the Vitebsk "Beatles Club". A photo exhibition "Flight of Sensuality" from Nikolai Chelnokov's personal collection will open in the exhibition hall of the city's Music Lounge. Colorful shows will take place on the grounds near the exhibition hall: young artists will paint four canvases - "Movement," "Measurement," "Sensuality," "Circus." Video presentations of the creative heritage of Marc Chagall, Kazimir Malevich, and El Lissitzky, films about contemporary artists of the regional center, and a fun competition with prizes and gifts will also be held here. The goal of the event is to intrigue and interest visitors with extraordinary actions, to emphasize the significance of the historical and cultural heritage of the Vitebsk art school, and the museum in the life of society. Therefore, the main principle of the art project is openness and accessibility for the viewer. -0-
