Over 20 ensembles from Belarus, Poland, Estonia, Russia, Lithuania, Latvia, Ukraine, and Slovakia will take part in the 17th international forum, dedicated to the 65th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. About 700 people are expected in total.
The City Day celebration will open the festive program. Honors are planned for citizens who have made a significant contribution to the development of Dubrovno, and winners of the city competition for landscaping. The youngest and oldest residents, as well as newlyweds who have decided to tie the knot on this day, will also receive congratulations. The ceremony of awarding the title "Honorary Citizen of the City of Dubrovno" will take place.
The main guests at the celebration will be veterans and participants of the Great Patriotic War. A concert "Salute to the Soldiers of Victory!" featuring winners of the regional review-competition of young performers of patriotic songs "Songs of the Youth of Our Fathers" has been organized especially for them.
On June 26, participants of the festival from other countries will arrive. Members of the folk club of national cuisine "Dubrovenskіya prysmakі" will be the first to greet the dear guests with bread and salt. This ceremony, accompanied by songs and dances, has long been a good tradition of the festival, the interlocutor noted.
Another highlight of this day will be the concert of young performers of folk songs and music from the Dubrovno district "Dnieper Nightingale" with an award ceremony for the best participants, and a large-scale exhibition-competition of national dolls "Dubravushka". This year, not only masters of folk crafts, but also students, creative people from other regions of Belarus, and guests from other countries are invited to participate.
The main events of the festival will take place on the last day of the forum. It will begin with a solemn theatrical procession of participants and guests along the central street of the city. Then, a gala concert of artistic ensembles and performers will be held, during which a symbolic "Carpet of Friendship" will be displayed at the city stadium. The canvas, 2 meters wide and about 3 meters high, woven from various materials brought by participants from different countries, is replenished with new fragments annually.
In addition, citizens can expect a bright concert with the participation of famous Belarusian performers Anna Sharkunova and German, which will conclude with a fireworks display. -0-
