The XXII Solertinsky International Music Festival is closing in Vitebsk
The XXXII I.I. Sollertinsky International Music Festival will close today at the Vitebsk Regional Philharmonic.
During the forum, concerts were held by teachers and students of the I.I. Sollertinsky Vitebsk State Music College and by Dmitry Masleev (piano) from Russia, winner of the XV Tchaikovsky International Competition and laureate of international competitions. The culmination of the festival was the performance by the State Chamber Orchestra of Belarus.
The final chord of the forum will be performed today by the State Academic Symphony Orchestra of Belarus under the baton of Alexander Anisimov. The ensemble is no stranger to the festival. "The orchestra's and audience's meetings at the philharmonic have always been accompanied by sold-out shows and thunderous applause. The ensemble performed the best works of classical and modern symphonic music with world-class virtuoso soloists. This year will be no exception. Works by I. Stravinsky, J.S. Bach, G. Handel, and J. Brahms will close the 32nd festival," said the organizers.
The I.I. Sollertinsky International Festival has been held in Vitebsk since 1989. Over its more than 30-year history, many renowned masters and young talents have performed here.
