Five state border violators were detained at the Belarusian-Latvian border

On the afternoon of March 3, during joint actions of Belarusian and Latvian border guards on the Belarusian-Latvian border, 5 State Border violators were detained. A citizen of Belarus was detained near the border line. During the proceedings with the border violators, it was found that the detainees were 4 citizens of Vietnam and 1 citizen of Tajikistan. According to the legislation of the Republic of Latvia, they face criminal liability for violating the border.

Proceedings are being conducted against the citizen of Belarus. He will be brought to administrative responsibility under Article 23.30 of the Code of the Republic of Belarus on Administrative Offenses - "Violation of border regime". The maximum penalty under this article provides for a fine of up to fifty basic units. The issue of his involvement in organizing illegal migration is also being considered, and he faces criminal liability.
