Br120 billion will be allocated for further modernization of the Orsha Flax Mill.

September 23, Orsha / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. Technical modernization of the republican unitary production and trade enterprise "Orsha Linen Mill" will be continued. This was announced today to journalists by the Prime Minister of Belarus Sergei Sidorsky during a visit to the linen mill, according to a BELTA correspondent. The mill will have to master the production of fabrics with a width of 2.2-2.5 m, which are in demand on the European market. Currently, they produce fabrics with a width of 1.5 m. The estimated investment volume will be about Br120 billion. The production upgrade will take place within two to three years. Credit resources will be provided for this. A technical modernization program has been implemented at the enterprise since 2007. In November of this year, two modernized factories, which are part of the mill, will be put into operation. Their technical capabilities will allow them to produce competitive products that are in demand on the domestic and foreign markets. Modern equipment from foreign companies was purchased for their re-equipment, which made it possible to introduce advanced technologies for the production of yarn and thread. With the launch of modernized production, the mill will be able to process about 26 thousand tons of flax fiber, and the production will become profitable, the Prime Minister is confident. State subsidies in the amount of Br53 billion have been provided for the technical re-equipment of the mill. 122 units of technological equipment have been purchased. Sergei Sidorsky set the enterprise the task of coordinating the production volumes of new products and their sales, and maximizing entry into foreign markets with high-quality fabric. The mill will begin to conclude contracts, including long-term ones, for the supply of new types of fabrics in the near future: dealers are expected in early October. -0-
