A new flax fiber cottonization line has been launched at the Dubrovno Flax Mill
With the participation of the Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee Alexander Subbotin, Assistant to the President of the Republic of Belarus – Inspector for the Vitebsk Region Vladimir Yurgevich, and First Deputy Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee Sergey Levkovich, a new flax fiber cottonization line was launched at the Dubrovno Flax Mill.
Its production capacity is about 1300 tons of cottonized flax fiber per year. This is a separate project to expand production and increase export potential through own resources.
This line is fully automated, controlled from the main monitor. In addition, it is equipped with advanced safety systems and fire extinguishing means.
Before familiarizing himself with the production, Alexander Subbotin visited the plant's 100-hectare seed plot. Here, flax of the Belarusian selection variety "Rubezh" is a sight to behold. Its height reaches 115 cm. Currently, technological strips are being prepared, and full seed maturation is awaited.
