Trees were planted in young neighborhoods during a city-wide cleanup event in Vitebsk
It was organized as the final stage of preparation for the autumn-winter period. Some representatives of institutions, organizations, and enterprises were putting their workplaces in order, while others were engaged in improving their assigned territories, including socially significant facilities.
Mass planting of shrubs and trees was carried out in the area of the oncology dispensary, maternity hospital No. 2, near kindergarten No. 112 in the Medtsentr microdistrict and the kindergarten under construction in the Bilevo-2 microdistrict, as well as in other city locations. Heads and employees of the Vitebsk City Executive Committee planted maples in Bilevo-2.
– This is a new development, there are few trees yet, although landscaping has already been carried out here this year. In 15-20 years, Bilevo will be a green microdistrict. Trees have been planted near the kindergarten, the construction of which has reached the final stage: kitchen and children's room equipment is being delivered and installed, finishing work in the pool and assembly hall is being completed. I think that in November the kindergarten will welcome its little new residents, – said Viktor Nikolaikin, Chairman of the Vitebsk City Executive Committee.
There is an acute shortage of kindergartens in this microdistrict, and many families take their children to preschool institutions in the city center.
For today's needs, Bilevo should have nine kindergartens
– For today's needs, Bilevo should have nine kindergartens. Therefore, we plan to start construction of another one in Bilevo-3 next year. The customer who is working on the design and estimate documentation has already been determined. If the kindergarten currently under construction is designed for 200 places, we will try to expand the next one to 300 places, – said Viktor Pavlovich.
Another school in Bilevo is planned to be built by September 1, 2020
In parallel, another school will be built in Bilevo, which is planned to be commissioned by September 1, 2020. This year, 7 million rubles have been allocated for it, and about 20 million for next year.
– Another school and kindergarten should also be built in the Medtsentr microdistrict, but the need for kindergartens is more acute in Bilevo, so we will focus our main efforts here. We will not disperse funds to avoid creating long-term construction projects, – noted Viktor Nikolaykin.
Having read the announcement about the subbotnik, a resident of the Bilevo-2 microdistrict, Anna Kandiiranda, along with her daughters Nastya and Tanya, also participated in the subbotnik. On this day, work collectives were tidying up and planting trees in many parts of Vitebsk.
