The international forum "Investment Initiatives of the Vitebsk Region" opened today as part of the XVIII International Festival of Arts "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk". The best cooperation proposals are presented here for potential foreign partners, emphasized Vladimir Novatsky, First Deputy Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, at the opening ceremony, BELTA correspondent reports. Businessmen and representatives of diplomatic missions from Russia, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Germany, Austria, Slovakia, and other countries are taking part in the forum. Projects worth over $700 million are presented for their attention. During live communication with representatives of the business circles of the Vitebsk region, guests will be able to get acquainted with various sectors of the region and determine options for further cooperation, noted the First Deputy Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee. The opened business forum will be the second this year. The first took place in March with the participation of delegations from about 20 countries. More than 100 investment proposals were presented at it. About 40 cooperation agreements were signed. -0-
