Investors from Western European, Middle Eastern, and Asian countries have shown interest in the "Bremeno-Orsha" logistics complex

In the coming year, the main works of the first start-up complex, which is planned to be commissioned in 2018, are scheduled to be completed at the site of the multimodal industrial and logistics complex "Bremіno-Orsha" in the village of Bolbasovo, Orsha district. Even today, investors from a number of Western European, Middle Eastern and Asian countries are showing concrete interest in the project.

The large-scale project, designed to significantly expand the logistics capabilities of Belarus, is being implemented by "Bremіno Group" LLC with state support provided for by Decree of the President No. 334 of July 21, 2015. According to the project manager Vasily Dementey, the construction of the access road is being completed today, and the laying of networks and communications necessary for the functioning of the complex as a whole is beginning. In addition to these works, in 2017 it is planned to build an administrative building with a total area of 2.8 thousand sq. m, warehouse premises (10.4 thousand sq. m), as well as a parking lot for heavy trucks with 200 spaces.

– All this is envisaged by the first stage of the project implementation, which we intend to complete at the beginning of 2018, after which we will move forward, – he explained.

The final stage (2021-2023) will mainly involve the creation of facilities and infrastructure for organizing industrial production. The total cost of the project is estimated at approximately 226 million dollars. Financing is planned to be carried out through the company's own funds, as well as through attracting bank loans and investor resources.

In parallel with the organization of construction work, "Bremіno Group" is actively marketing the complex. At a recent innovation forum in Vitebsk, project managers held negotiations with representatives of a logistics company operating in the port of Klaipeda. Cooperation proposals interested investors from China, Germany, and Poland. Representatives of the United Arab Emirates are exploring opportunities for participation in the project.

“Bremeno-Orsha” includes freight forwarding companies, postal operators, and express delivery services, as well as manufacturing enterprises of various industry sectors.

This interest is, of course, not accidental. Primarily, it is linked to the unique location of the complex. The site at the intersection of two European transport corridors provides access to all major types of cargo transportation (road, railway network, air transport) with sufficient capacity to handle shipments.

It should be noted that the project in Orsha is crucial for the national logistics operator LLC "Bremeno Group," but it is not the only one. The company is creating logistics infrastructure directly on the border with the European Union. In December, the opening of the "Bremeno-Bruzgi" transport and logistics complex in the Grodno region (Bruzgi-Kuznica border crossing) is planned. It includes a customs control zone with a 250-space truck parking lot, a 10,000 sq. m warehouse complex, as well as a business center with a customs clearance point, a hotel, and other service facilities.

According to Vasily Dementey, a similar project is planned to be implemented within a year on the Belarusian-Polish border in the settlement of Berestovitsa, Grodno region (Berestovitsa-Bobrowniki border crossing).
