A new General Director has been introduced at Naftan

Oleg Zhebin has been appointed as the new General Director of OJSC "Naftan". His candidacy was approved by the President of Belarus, and today the Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus, Petr Parkhomchik, introduced the new head of the largest oil refining complex to the staff.

However, Oleg Zhebin is not new to "Naftan". Previously, he served there as Deputy General Director for Chemical Production and headed the "Polimir" plant. Based on the results of his work in 2022, he was recognized as the best manager in the Vitebsk region.

– Oleg Vladimirovich has come a long way, he knows everything, he is a leader nurtured by the enterprise, and I am confident that he will organize the work at a high level. "Naftan" is one of the landmark enterprises of Belarus. A new vision for its development is required. The issue of investments should not end with one project; it is necessary to continue the modernization of the enterprise. The depth of oil refining remains one of the main tasks to be addressed in the near future. It is necessary to complete the second stage of reconstruction as soon as possible and proceed to the third, – noted Petr Parkhomchik and wished the enterprise rapid dynamic development.

As of today, "Naftan" is operating stably. In the spring, a delayed coking unit was commissioned, thanks to which the depth of oil refining reached 92%. The enterprise is completing reconstruction in the oil sector. The search for new markets, particularly the Chinese market, is underway.

The Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee, Alexander Subbotin, gave parting words to the new head of OJSC "Naftan".

– "Naftan" is very important for Belarus and extremely important for the region. It is necessary to orient oneself as quickly as possible to the present day and look to the future. We associate the well-being of the region with the development of the petrochemical cluster. It is in the capital of the "Oil City", a young city, that new creative projects should be implemented, – emphasized the head of the region.

In a recent interview, Oleg Zhebin said: "Success is achieved by those who strive for development, creation, and, of course, results. The word order and effectiveness in action are important in this list. One is impossible without the other." These words accurately characterize the direction of work of the new General Director of Naftan.
