On Easter, Vitebsk law enforcement officers will strengthen security measures
While the residents of the regional center are stocking up on Easter treats, law enforcement officers are taking the necessary measures to protect public order during the holiday.
Thus, in Vitebsk, the number of police patrols will be increased on April 12. This is due to the celebration of Easter, which is observed by Orthodox Christians. Festive services will be held these days in the Orthodox churches and parishes of the regional center and will gather a large number of people.
As reported by the website of the Department of Internal Affairs of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, in this regard, police officers will strive to ensure the safety of people and the security of their property. Their efforts will also be aimed at preventing traffic accidents at the venues of festive events and on adjacent streets.
Taking into account the increased passenger traffic on weekends and holidays, the activities of the State Automobile Inspectorate will be intensified. Detour routes for event venues have been developed, and in cooperation with utility services, measures are being taken to ensure comfortable parking conditions for citizens' vehicles.
Event venues will be inspected in advance by specialists from bomb disposal and pyrotechnic teams. If necessary, inspection measures will be organized on the day of the religious holiday.
The Department of Internal Affairs of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee also reminds that citizens who are intoxicated, carrying piercing and cutting objects, bulky items, or alcoholic beverages will not be admitted to mass events.
