Br12.5 billion is planned to be allocated for the implementation of 13 import substitution projects in the Vitebsk region.

November 17, Vitebsk / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. In the current year, 13 import substitution projects are being implemented in the Vitebsk region, with a planned allocation of Br12.5 billion. This was reported to a BELTA correspondent by Alexander Tikhonov, Deputy Head of the Investment Policy and Foreign Economic Relations Department of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee. Two import substitution projects are included in the state program: SOOO "Fortex - Water Technologies", which involves expanding the production of technological equipment for the purification of natural and wastewater, as well as special equipment for energy, chemical industries, and housing and communal services facilities, and UP "Polymerkonstruktsiya", aimed at developing the production of water treatment equipment. In the first half of the year, Br3.2 billion was allocated for the implementation of projects, which allowed for the production of goods worth $2.9 million, with $0.9 million exported. The estimated savings in foreign currency amounted to $0.3 million. Import substitution projects at OAO "Tekhnolit Polotsk", OAO "Polotsk Plant "Prommashremont"", ODO "NPP "Termopass"", and OOO "Polotskaya Bumazhnaya Kompaniya" are developing most successfully, added Alexander Tikhonov. At OAO "Tekhnolit Polotsk", tests have been conducted, and a certificate of conformity has been obtained for a brake pad for locomotives of type "M", which will be produced in the near future. At OAO "Polotsk Plant "Prommashremont"", an import substitution project is being implemented – the organization of production for the onboard loader ZB-24. A prototype of the loader is undergoing acceptance tests. ODO "NPP "Termopass"" has organized the production of highly efficient heat exchangers using local fuels. The production volume has increased, and the range of household and sanitary paper products (paper napkins, toilet paper, paper towels) produced by OOO "Polotskaya Bumazhnaya Kompaniya" is expanding. -0-
