At the "Slavianski Bazaar" in the city of masters, there will only be author's creations

Access for trade representatives who are not masters and artisans to sell goods in the City of Masters at the "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk" festival will be restricted. This was announced today at a press conference by Viktor Glushin, Deputy Chairman of the Vitebsk City Executive Committee.

Speaking about the festival venues, Viktor Glushin noted that Victory Square will be more actively involved this year. "In addition, taking into account numerous requests, we have tried to establish stricter requirements for holding events. Thus, the City of Masters, we hope, will truly be for masters: we will restrict access for other trade representatives," emphasized the Deputy Chairman of the Vitebsk City Executive Committee. The City of Masters is one of the most popular places for visitors to Vitebsk during the "Slavianski Bazaar." The highlights of this venue also include festivals and competitions for folk art masters. This year, there will be four of them: for *vytinanka* (paper cutting) - "Azhurnyia mary" (Intricate Dreams), straw weaving - "Paparat-kvetka" (Fern Flower), patchwork sewing - "Vitebskaia mozaika" (Vitebsk Mosaic), and traditional whistles - "Salaveika" (Nightingale).

Art enthusiasts are also attracted to the pedestrian streets of Suvorov and Tolstoy, and the area near the "Vitebsk" Concert Hall, where they can admire and purchase paintings by local and visiting artists, and find interesting souvenirs and other goods.

In general, the festival venues are already anticipating the celebration. "The city is always happy to welcome guests. All services are actively working to make the festival even better and brighter. And even at night, it will be as light as day: you will see Vitebsk in all its glory," said Viktor Glushin. This year, the festival will be held from July 8 to July 17. The opening ceremony and gala concert of the forum will take place in the Summer Amphitheater on July 11, and the closing ceremony on July 15. Additional events are planned for July 8-10 and July 16-17. The main events of the festival will be the XXVIII International Pop Song Performers Competition "Vitebsk-2019" and the XVII International Children's Music Competition "Vitebsk-2019."
