Live sound will dominate at the "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk"
June 24, Vitebsk / Sergey Kochetov - BELTA /. Live sound will dominate the concerts of the XIX International Festival of Arts "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk". This was announced today at a press conference by the Director of the Vitebsk Culture Center - Director of the Festival Directorate Rodion Bass, BELTA correspondent reports.
The festival organizers advocate for live performance, although it is not always possible to maintain it. This year's festival will be the "liveliest" in its entire history, noted Rodion Bass. Concerts by Dmitry Hvorostovsky, Raimonds Pauls, Yuri Antonov, Alexander Serov, Thomas Anders, Toto Cutugno, Stas Mikhailov, Elena Vaenga, as well as all jazz programs will be held with live sound. "Many famous artists are already embarrassed to perform to a backing track in their solo concerts," noted the director of the Vitebsk festival, referring to a pleasant trend.
According to him, holding such concerts requires adequate technical preparation and support. The festival directorate has the most modern sound equipment at its disposal, which allows for concerts to be provided at the highest level. For example, recently the organizers of Elton John's concert in Minsk approached the Vitebsk team with a request to rent a number of devices to meet the technical rider of the world star. "But this year, we also had to rent equipment for a number of items in order to technically meet the requirements of some performers," said Rodion Bass. For example, musical instruments, including drumsticks, had to be rented to ensure Thomas Anders' concert.
"A contract is a contract, and if you want to cooperate with stars, you must be technically prepared to provide their performance," believes the festival director. Especially when it comes to a packed festival program, when 3-4 concerts are held on the same stage in one day, he added.
The XIX International Festival of Arts "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk" will be held from July 9 to 15. -0-
