The construction of a new kindergarten with a swimming pool in Polotsk will cost over Br8.5 million
A kindergarten for 200 children will be built in the Aeroport microdistrict of Polotsk, with over Br8.5 million to be spent on its construction. This was reported by the Polotsk District Executive Committee.
In the young microdistrict of Polotsk, the number of young families and children is growing due to intensive housing development. There are three preschool institutions with a total capacity of 950 places, attended by children aged 2 to 7 years. However, this is not enough for the growing microdistrict. About 200 more boys and girls are on the waiting list for kindergarten, and parents of 135 of them are currently forced to take them to other microdistricts. "The project for the construction of a new kindergarten provides for the erection of a modern, cozy building for 200 places, 55 of which will be intended for nursery-aged children (there will be 4 groups), as well as 24 places for children with weakened health (2 groups)," the district executive committee noted.
It will be a three-story building of a complex shape, consisting of functional blocks: group rooms, a medical block, a laundry room, a food block, a swimming pool, a physical education and health block, an aesthetic education block, and service and utility rooms. The aesthetic education block will be located on the upper floor and will include a hall for music classes, a universal room for children's creativity, and a computer room with three workstations.
The adjacent territory will feature landscaped children's play areas for both older and younger groups, sports grounds, a playground for teaching children traffic rules, and utility areas. They will be decorated with small architectural forms. The new kindergarten will not only be within walking distance but will also ensure a correctional focus in the educational process.
According to the plan, the construction of the much-needed modern preschool institution will be completed by the next academic year.
