Young machine operators will work on the equipment - agrarians of the Vitebsk region are accepting MTZ tractors

Young specialists will work on new MTZ equipment being supplied to enterprises in the Vitebsk region, Mikhail Pridibaylo, Deputy Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee's Agriculture and Food Committee, told reporters.

Mikhail Pridibaylo said that there are over 6,000 tractors in the northern region, including 1,189 high-power ones. The fleet is outdated and more than half worn out. The current renewal will amount to about 5.6% of all tractors.

"Young people will come to work on new MTZ equipment. This will have a positive impact on work. In addition, it is also very serious moral support: it is more pleasant, reliable, and profitable to work on such a tractor because it practically does not break down and you can earn a lot of money. New equipment allows technologists to meet optimal deadlines – to plow, cultivate, sow, etc. in a timely manner," said the Deputy Chairman of the Regional Agricultural Production Committee.

On December 20, MTZ sent 240 BELARUS tractors to the Vitebsk region. Among the recipients is the Vitebsk Meat Processing Plant, which will receive 55 tractors, including 12 high-power ones. Most of the equipment has already arrived, the rest will be delivered by rail.

Young machine operator at the meat processing plant, Maxim Mereshchenko, previously worked on less powerful equipment. Now he has been entrusted with a high-power BELARUS-3522. "The main thing is that it is more powerful and comfortable. I felt this yesterday on the highway when the equipment was being transported from Minsk. It will be a great help during agricultural work," shared the machine operator.

Alena Yurinenok, Head of the Crop Production and Mechanization Department at the Vitebsk Meat Processing Plant, added that previously one high-power tractor had to be used for plowing, sowing, and soil cultivation. With the arrival of new units of equipment, farmers will be able to work more productively and use attached equipment.

"With the new tractors, the sowing campaign will go much faster, we will be able to complete it in more optimal terms," the specialist said.

MTZ has sent 240 tractors to the Vitebsk region. In total, contracts provide for the supply of 354 units of equipment, including 70 high-power tractors, for a total amount of Br42.8 million. The machines will go to almost 40 agro-industrial organizations of the region, including Glubokoye Dairy Canning Plant, Verkhnedvinsk Cheese and Butter Factory, Postavy Dairy Plant, Polotsk Dairy Combine, Vitebsk Meat Processing Plant, and Orsha Meat Canning Plant. The tractors remaining after the mass shipment are planned to be delivered to the northern region by the end of the year.-0-
