The first loaf of bread from the new harvest has been baked in the Vitebsk region

By tradition, the first loaf is awarded to the district that was the first to start fulfilling the state order. And for several years in a row, it has been received by the grain growers of Chashnikshchina.

The first to ripen in the district was the "Yadvissya" wheat variety in the fields of OJSC "Vedrenskoye-agro", and the grain was brought to condition at the drying complex of KUSHP "Semena". From here, last Saturday, a priceless cargo with new bread was sent to the Polotsk grain processing plant. The combine operators, drivers, drying complex operators, and all participants of the harvest were heartily congratulated by the chairman of the district executive committee Vladimir Bulay. The head of the district conveyed words of gratitude from the head of the region, Nikolai Sherstnev, to the grain growers. A wreath of ears of the new harvest was presented to the director of OJSC "Vedrenskoye-agro" Vladimir Pushnov. The task of delivering the first bread on a powerful MAZ truck was entrusted to driver Mikhail Norko (for more than fifteen years, Mikhail Vasilyevich has been transporting grain during the harvest) and the deputy director of the farm, Vladimir Kostyukov.

In Polotsk, the Chashniki residents were solemnly welcomed by the director of KHP Vasily Khamenok and his deputy for quality, Elena Borodina. The wheat successfully passed laboratory tests and was sent to the granaries. The grain growers, who were the first to start supplying grain under the state order, were presented with a victorious loaf.

The shipment of the new harvest from the Chashniki district to other regions has begun. Yesterday at noon, loaves were also presented to the director of OJSC "Ivansky-agro" Viktor Unukovich at the Vitebsk KHP and the director of OJSC "Prozemle-agro" Maxim Skrabnevsky at the Orsha KHP.

– Reaping ceremonies have been held in every farm – this is a kind of send-off for the grain growers, a wish for success to all participants of the harvest, – emphasized Tatyana Pchelka, head of the department of ideological work, culture and youth affairs of the district executive committee. – On Saturday, for example, a real celebration took place at OJSC "Ivansky-agro". The combines of this farm were the first to go into the field and by yesterday had already harvested 61 hectares. The district has clearly thought out measures for organizing the harvest campaign, material and moral incentives for the leaders, and care for the people.

The work ahead is intense – 15,532 hectares of grain and leguminous crops are to be harvested. 132 hectares have already been mowed, and 326 tons of grain have been threshed. The average yield is currently 24.7 centners per round. The highest yield – 42 c/ha – is at OJSC "Vedrenskoye-agro". As specialists note, the gross harvest this year will be no less than last year's, and in 2014, the Chashniki residents received almost 49.5 thousand tons of bread.
