The status of some historical and cultural sites in the Vitebsk region has changed

According to the new State List of Historical and Cultural Values, approved by the Council of Ministers of Belarus, the building of the former Vitebsk People's Art School has become a monument of republican, not regional, significance. The same status was granted to the 12th-century Borisov Stone located in Druya, Braslav District.

The third category of historical and cultural value has been assigned to the Holy Assumption Church of the late 19th century in Braslav, the churches of St. Sergius of Radonezh in the village of Leskovichi and the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the village of Pobeda, Shumilino District, as well as a building from 1931 on Engels Street in Glubokoye and a cannon from the 1910s–1930s on the territory of the manor and park ensemble in the village of Gorodets, Sharkovshchina District.

By the same resolution of the Council of Ministers, three kurgan burial grounds of the early Middle Ages in Dokshitsy District, the building of the music school in Lentupov, Postavy District, some buildings of the former postal station complex in the village of Pogrebionka, Senno District, and a settlement in the village of the same name in Shumilino District have been deprived of the status of historical and cultural values.
