A trilateral agreement has been signed in the Vitebsk region
At a meeting of the Vitebsk Regional Council on Labor and Social Issues, with the participation of representatives of the regional executive committee, the employers' union and trade unions, the results of the implementation of the trilateral Agreement for 2014-2015 were reviewed, and the Agreement for 2016-2018 was signed.
- We have signed a document that concerns the interests of the region's residents. It is necessary to support the leaders on whom the financial success of enterprises depends, and on the other hand, we must not forget about the interests of the employees, - noted Ivan Vozmitel, Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Trade Union Association. - There is a constructive dialogue, and many issues that are currently facing employers are being resolved. I would also like to thank the trilateral group that developed this document, and I believe that we have all the prerequisites for the implementation of this Agreement.
The Chairman of the regional trade union association outlined the fundamentally new positions of the document. For example, in the section on remuneration, a new provision has appeared concerning the deadlines for salary payment: by the 25th day of the month following the month of accrual, with a payment frequency of at least twice a month. Innovations also affected the social protection of youth - in cases where young specialists arriving at their first place of work are not provided with official housing, a monthly compensation for housing rental costs is provided, as well as targeted support for these employees.
Chairman, Director of the Executive Directorate of the Vitebsk Regional Employers' Union

"During the preparation of the agreement, we found a number of compromise solutions that will allow labor collectives, managers, and authorities to work successfully, and in this process, everyone will find their place. Only together will we achieve that the results of our work will become even more productive for every resident of our region," emphasized Vladimir Turavinov.
The main sections of the agreement are issues of employment, remuneration and labor protection, social guarantees; it also outlines the positions of interaction between the executive authorities, the employers' union, and trade unions.
