A feed mill has been opened at the Vitebsk broiler poultry farm

The modern complex consists of 4 structural divisions: a feed production workshop, raw material storage areas (silo and bagged), a technical maintenance unit, and a technological laboratory. A total of 102 people work here. The production capacity of the facility is up to 12 thousand tons of feed per month, which allows Vitebsk Broiler Poultry Farm to fully provide feed for its poultry and livestock in its own agricultural divisions. There are also 20% reserves for future product sales to consumers.

Anna Norus, General Director of Vitebsk Broiler Poultry Farm OJSC, said that the launch of the new facility will significantly improve the enterprise's economic performance. She thanked the regional executive committee for their support in implementing the large-scale project, the banking organizations that financed the construction, the design organization PTI Promzernoproekt OJSC, and the general contractor Zhilstroy OJSC. Anna Vasilievna invited Viktor Mirosh, Deputy of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, who managed the farm for the past two years, and Viktor Askerko, Deputy Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee, to cut the symbolic red ribbon. Viktor Askerko noted that he had followed the construction dynamics of the facility, visited to assess the progress of construction and the capabilities of the new plant.

– You were fortunate with both the equipment selection and the design organization. Thanks to in-house feed production, costs will decrease and efficiency will increase, which will stimulate further development of the enterprise and strengthen its position in the industry, – emphasized Viktor Vitalievich.

As noted by Vadim Pobedinsky, Head of the Main Department for Grain Products of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Belarus, it is symbolic that the plant is being commissioned in the year of the 60th anniversary celebration.

The new facility of the Vitebsk Broiler Poultry Farm is significant at the state level, as its capacity allows for the production of about 2% of the total feed production in Belarus, and up to 10% in the poultry meat market. In addition, the enterprise creates new jobs.

Gennady Sabynich, Chairman of the Vitebsk District Executive Committee, emphasized that the broiler poultry farm is a key enterprise in the region, a leader in the agricultural sector, including milk production. Its own feed mill allows it to provide nutrition not only for poultry but also for cattle.

– The design capacity of the workshop is 30 tons per hour of loose feed, 24 tons of granulated feed, and 20 tons of expanded feed. Currently, as we have just launched, we are working with 15 recipes, and we have the opportunity to expand the product range and produce feed for all types of animals and age groups. We plan further expansion and modernization of production – by increasing the capacity of the grain terminal and storage areas for protein raw materials, – said Olga Basko, Deputy General Director for Feed Production, about the capabilities and development prospects of the new structural unit of the enterprise.
