For the duration of the "Slavianski Bazaar", Hvorostovsky asked for a clean-shaven driver, and Pauls dismissed his favorites

May 28, Vitebsk / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. Hvorostovsky requested a non-smoking, clean-shaven driver, and Pauls dismissed his favorites at the "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk". These festival secrets were revealed today at a press conference by Rodion Bass, Director of the Vitebsk Culture Center and Director of the International Arts Festival Directorate, as reported by a BELTA correspondent. Dmitri Hvorostovsky will be accommodated at the four-star Luchesa hotel. Rodion Bass remained silent about the world-famous artist's accommodation and dining preferences, but he did talk about the requirements for the driver who will transport the star. According to the rider, the driver must be a man, neat, clean-shaven, must not smoke, and must wear a tie. Dmitri Hvorostovsky will take part in the opening concert of the International Arts Festival on July 9, and on July 10, he will give a solo concert with the Presidential Orchestra of the Republic of Belarus conducted by Viktor Babarikin. Rodion Bass particularly emphasized that ticket prices for the opera star's solo concert will range from Br20,000 to Br55,000. "You won't hear Hvorostovsky anywhere in the world for such money. We are aware of who will attend his concert – the intelligentsia – and we have specifically set the price so low," he said. Raimonds Pauls will visit the "Slavianski Bazaar" for the second time. It is noteworthy that his debut here was anticipated for about ten years, and only last year did the maestro manage to come to Vitebsk. According to Rodion Bass, the composer liked the festival and the audience's reception so much that he gladly accepted the invitation to come to the XIX "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk". However, one of the conditions for his concert was that his songs be performed by young singers. Therefore, at Raimonds Pauls' creative evening, which will take place on July 14, his compositions will be heard in new renditions. -0-
