OSCE observers in the Beshenkovichi district note favorable conditions for their work
December 19, Beshenkovichi District / Diana Kurilo - BELTA/. OSCE mission observers in the Beshenkovichi District note favorable conditions for their work. This was reported to a BELTA correspondent by short-term mission observers Gulnara Tursinbayeva (Kazakhstan) and Chase Foster (USA).
According to Gulnara Tursinbayeva, the instructions developed by the OSCE for observers do not allow them to make any comments before the official announcement of the final report. At the same time, both observers noted: "We worked comfortably in all the polling stations we visited in the Beshenkovichi District."
Chase Foster is in Belarus for the first time and did not hide his admiration for the country. "Minsk captivated me with its cleanliness, wide streets, and numerous construction sites. I saw frozen rivers and snow-covered forests – it's so beautiful," he said. The American was not indifferent to the national Belarusian cuisine. As it turned out, he had tried draniki at home in America, but borscht, solyanka, and holubtsi became a discovery and he liked them very much.
However, the greatest impression on the observers was made by the country's residents. "Hospitable, friendly, open people," Gulnara Tursinbayeva and Chase Foster said in unison. According to the latter, it would be very interesting for his compatriots to learn more about Belarus and visit it. "When I return home, I will tell all my friends and acquaintances about Belarus and recommend them to come here," he promised.
OSCE observers visited several polling stations in the Beshenkovichi District. They familiarized themselves with the work of the precinct commissions, observed the voting process, and talked with the chairpersons and members of the commissions. -0-
