Naftan to start production of oils for scooters and lawnmowers in 2010
November 12, Vitebsk / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. Open Joint Stock Company "Naftan" plans to start production and sale of high-quality oils for engines with two-stroke engines in 2010. This was announced today by the General Director of OJSC "Naftan" Vyacheslav Yakushev at a meeting of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, according to a BELTA correspondent.
The enterprise's specialists studied the domestic consumer market and concluded that despite the large sales of motorized tools and small transport, high-quality oils for such equipment are not available for sale. Thus, "Naftan" plans to occupy this niche and already next year expand its range of consumer goods by producing oils for chainsaws, lawnmowers, scooters, motorcycles, and motorboats. In addition, next year the enterprise intends to master the production of 7 groups of oils with high consumer properties for automotive engines.
In January-September, OJSC "Naftan" produced industrial products at comparable prices worth more than Br6.2 trillion. The growth rate was almost 120% compared to the same period last year. Consumer goods worth Br46.4 billion were produced. The range of consumer goods includes paints and varnishes, automotive oils, and bitumen varnishes.
The Novopolotsk oil refinery "Naftan" was commissioned in 1963 and is part of the concern "Belneftekhim". The plant specializes in the production of fuel and oil products, producing more than 70 items, including oils, gasoline, and diesel fuel of Euro-4 and Euro-5 standards. About 70% of the products are supplied to the CIS countries, the European Union, the Middle East, and the USA. -0-
