Naftan will begin scheduled major repairs of some technological units in August
August 2, Minsk /Corr. BELTA/. Naftan OJSC will begin scheduled major repairs of a number of technological units, including the AVT-6 primary oil refining unit, from August 18, 2011. This was reported to a BELTA correspondent by the press service of the Belneftekhim concern.
Such repairs are carried out once every three years. According to the schedule, the repair work will last for a month. Primary oil refining will be carried out at the AVT-2 unit during this period.
"The scheduled technological repair of Naftan OJSC units will not affect the supply of automotive fuel to the domestic market. Significant reserves of all types of petroleum products have been accumulated for sale at gas stations," the concern noted. In addition, Mozyr Oil Refinery OJSC, which carried out similar repairs in May-June this year, resumed full production capacity in early July.
The Novopolotsk oil refinery (since September 2002 - Naftan OJSC) was commissioned in 1963. It specializes in processing hydrocarbon raw materials and produces more than 70 types of products, including gasoline, diesel fuel, and automotive oils. The entire volume of diesel fuel is produced according to the Euro-4 and Euro-5 environmental standards. A significant part of the products is supplied for export.
The Belarusian State Concern for Oil and Chemistry (Belneftekhim concern) unites more than 60 organizations. It accounts for over 30% of Belarus's industrial production.
