"Naftan" completes a major investment project for the reconstruction of a primary oil refining unit
Construction and installation work has been completed at the facility, and comprehensive testing of the equipment has begun. The design capacity of the unit will be 750 tons of oil per hour, which will allow the plant to process up to 12 million tons of oil per year in total. In addition, a wide range of raw material components will be obtained to ensure the technological chain of the entire enterprise. The project is being implemented under the "Naftan" development program.
It includes two main complexes: primary oil refining (AT-8 and AVT-2 vacuum unit) with phased decommissioning of outdated equipment, as well as delayed coking from five units (delayed coking, hydrogen production, elemental sulfur production, and two hydrotreating units). Investment projects are aimed at increasing production volumes and improving the efficiency of the enterprise's activities. In 2011-2015, the volume of investments mastered at "Naftan" exceeded $1.2 billion.
The implementation of investment projects in the past five-year period allowed the enterprise to increase the production of Euro-5 class diesel fuel to 2.2 million tons per year, ensure the possibility of producing Euro-5 class gasoline up to 100%, and also improve industrial and production safety.
