"Naftan" completes the reconstruction of the existing railway overpass for fuel oil discharge 910
August 30, Minsk / Irina Aniskevich - BELTA /. OJSC "Naftan" is completing the reconstruction of the existing railway overpass for Mazut 910-40 unloading. This was reported to a BELTA correspondent at the enterprise.
The technical capabilities of the overpass will increase by 1.5 times to 45 thousand tons per month. Repair work is being carried out in the mode of receiving raw materials and shipping finished products.
Another oil product unloading scheme is being installed at the railway overpass of the "Bitumny-1" unit, which has been mothballed in recent years. This transshipment hub, after the necessary installation work, will be able to receive 20 tank cars for unloading. Its commissioning is scheduled for November 1 of the current year.
As a result of the implementation of these projects, OJSC "Naftan" will expand its capacity for receiving hydrocarbon raw materials by rail to at least 100 thousand tons per month.
At the end of July this year, the enterprise received the first batch of oil from Venezuela for processing. In August, OJSC processed 160 thousand tons of oil from Latin America.
Based on the results of work for January-June of the current year, OJSC "Naftan" processed 3.8 million tons of hydrocarbon raw materials. Profitability was 4.2%. As noted at the enterprise, due to the changed conditions of oil supplies from Russia in the first quarter, the enterprise experienced difficulties, but by the end of the first half of the year, the situation stabilized. Supplies of Venezuelan oil will strengthen the financial and economic position of "Naftan".
The Novopolotsk oil refinery "Naftan" was commissioned in 1963 and is part of the concern "Belneftekhim". The plant specializes in the production of fuel and oil products, producing more than 70 items, including oils, gasoline, and diesel fuel of Euro-4 and Euro-5 standards. About 70% of the products are supplied to CIS countries, the European Union, the Middle East, and the USA. At the end of 2008, OJSC "Polimir" joined OJSC "Naftan", and a petrochemical complex was created. -0-
