The decision was made by the Vitebsk City Executive Committee, the City Executive Committee informed a BELTA correspondent. The territory opposite the main facade of the Church of the Resurrection of Christ, restored last year, was given the name. Once this church bore the unofficial name of the Market Church, in honor of the square on which it was built. However, over time, this historical name was lost, and the beautiful church was destroyed. And now, having recreated the temple, the authorities decided to give the city another square, this time naming it in honor of the temple. On the bright holiday of Easter, festive services will be held in the Resurrection Church, as in all churches and cathedrals of Vitebsk and the region. And in order for the holiday to take place, the secular authorities took care of holding Easter fairs, which feature products from local producers. -0-
