Tax arrears of taxpayers in the Vitebsk region decreased by more than 2 times in January-March

The debt of economic entities of the Vitebsk region on payments to the budget decreased by more than half in January-March and as of April 1, 2010, amounted to Br7.8 billion, and its share in the annual revenue plan did not exceed 1% (0.17%), the press center of the Ministry of Taxes and Duties Inspectorate for the Vitebsk region informed a BELTA correspondent. The most disciplined taxpayers operate in the Verkhnedvinsk, Gluboksky, Tolochinsky and Ushachsky districts, where enterprises, individual entrepreneurs and individuals fully fulfill their tax obligations. A significant reduction in debt was achieved as a result of a set of measures taken by the tax service. Thus, more than Br112 billion was collected from current and other accounts of economic entities, as well as Br30.8 billion of accounts receivable. Cash in the amount of almost Br1 billion was seized. Br2.2 billion was received into the state treasury from the sale of confiscated property. In total, Br146.4 billion was collected by the tax service through compulsory debt collection, which is 18.4% of the total budget revenue in the first quarter. The restructuring of debts of 39 agricultural enterprises in accordance with Decree No. 92 "On Certain Issues of Agricultural Organizations" also contributed to the reduction of debt. The revenues of the consolidated budget of the Vitebsk region in January-March of the current year amounted to Br795.2 billion, including Br403.5 billion received by the republican budget and Br391.7 billion by the local budget. In the revenue structure, excise taxes account for 34.8% of the total revenue, VAT - 18.2%, income tax - 13.1%, profit tax - 8%. A total of over 455 thousand taxpayers, including more than 16 thousand legal entities, almost 30 thousand individual entrepreneurs, and about 410 thousand individuals, participate in the formation of the revenue part of the consolidated budget of the region. -0-
