Tax arrears of taxpayers in the Vitebsk region decreased by 63% in January-September
October 15, Vitebsk / Sergei Kochetov - BELTA /. The debt of economic entities in the Vitebsk region for payments to the budget for January-September decreased by more than 63% compared to the beginning of the year to Br7.5 billion, the press center of the Ministry of Taxes and Duties Inspectorate for the Vitebsk region informed a BELTA correspondent.
In September alone, taxpayers' debts decreased by Br5.1 billion compared to the data at the end of August. A significant reduction in debt was achieved as a result of a set of measures taken by the tax service. Thus, more than Br120.8 billion was recovered from current and foreign currency accounts of economic entities, and over Br98 billion was received by the budget through the write-off of accounts receivable of debtor enterprises. Debts totaling Br3.2 billion were repaid by seizing cash from debtors. In total, Br229.7 billion was collected by the tax service through compulsory debt collection, which is 7.6% of the total budget revenues for 9 months.
The smallest amount of debt is owed by taxpayers operating in Dubrovensky (about Br162 thousand), Shumilinsky (Br277 thousand), Postavsky (Br376 thousand), and Braslavsky (Br377 thousand) districts. The largest debt (almost Br3 billion) is owed by enterprises and organizations in Vitebsk, including taxpayers in the Oktyabrsky district of the regional center, who owe the budget more than Br2.4 billion. The main budget debtors are legal entities of various forms of ownership, which account for 96% of the total amount of debt obligations. An exception is state agricultural enterprises and agricultural production cooperatives, which have no debt payments to the budget as of the end of 9 months. -0-
