Tax authorities in the Vitebsk region have additionally charged over Br1 billion to the budget based on the results of inspections in January-July.

Tax inspectorates of the Vitebsk region, based on the results of inspections of compliance with the legislation regulating the production and circulation of excisable goods, have additionally charged over Br1 billion to the budget in January-July of the current year, the press center of the Ministry of Taxes and Duties of Belarus for the Vitebsk region informed a BELTA correspondent. Over seven months, 567 violations of the legislation regulating the production and circulation of excisable goods were identified. As emphasized in the press center, all inspections were carried out based on information about offenses committed in the sphere of tax relations, which was received by the tax authorities. More than 1 thousand liters of alcoholic beverages, over 350 liters of non-food alcohol-containing products, half a million pieces of tobacco products, almost 2.6 thousand liters of petroleum products, and more than 400 liters of malt beer were seized. The total value of the seized goods is estimated at Br95 million. Excisable goods worth Br125 million and revenue of Br57 million were confiscated in favor of the state. Based on the materials of control measures, 114 business entities and 451 individuals were brought to administrative responsibility by judicial and tax authorities.
