Vitebsk region tax authorities detected nearly a thousand violations in the field of excisable goods in 2010

January 17, Vitebsk / Sergey Kochetov - BELTA /. Tax inspectorates of the Vitebsk region detected almost a thousand violations of legislation regulating the production and circulation of excisable goods in 2010. This was reported to a BELTA correspondent by the press service of the Ministry of Taxes and Levies Inspectorate for the Vitebsk region. Almost 10 thousand liters of alcoholic, non-food alcohol-containing products and beer, 12.5 tons of petroleum products, as well as about 1.4 million pieces of tobacco products with a total value of over Br327 million were seized from illegal circulation. Excisable goods and revenue obtained in violation of the law, with a total value of over Br323 million, were converted into state revenue. Business entities that committed violations in the production and circulation of excisable goods were charged with paying Br724 million in taxes to the budget. About 200 legal entities and individual entrepreneurs, as well as almost 700 citizens, were brought to administrative responsibility. The amount of fines amounted to over Br543 million. -0-
