Vitebsk region tax authorities collected over Br8 billion in the budget in January-May based on audit results.

June 25, Vitebsk / Sergei Kochetov - BELTA /. Tax inspectorates of the Vitebsk region have additionally charged over Br8 billion in taxes and duties to the budget for January-May based on the results of control measures, the press center of the Ministry of Taxes and Duties Inspectorate for the Vitebsk region informed a BELTA correspondent. During this period, more than 3.5 thousand inspections of compliance with legislation by economic entities were carried out, with violations detected in 88% of cases. In addition, control over the validity of VAT refunds prevented illegal reimbursement from the budget of Br5.9 billion, including over Br2 billion in export transactions of Belarusian enterprises with Russian counterparties. In total, in January-May, the consolidated budget revenues of the Vitebsk region amounted to over Br1.5 trillion, including Br775.1 billion to the republican budget and almost Br730 billion to the local budget. The main sources of revenue are excise taxes, accounting for 32.7% of the total revenue, VAT - 22.9%, personal income tax - 12.4%, profit tax - 7.3%. As of June 1, the debt of economic entities in the region for budget payments amounted to about Br18 billion and decreased by Br2 billion compared to the beginning of the year. In total, over 459 thousand taxpayers participate in the formation of the revenue part of the consolidated budget of the region, including more than 16 thousand legal entities, almost 30 thousand individual entrepreneurs, as well as about 414 thousand individuals. -0-
