Vitebsk region tax authorities uncovered more than 20 cases of illegal scrap metal purchases in January-May

July 1, Vitebsk / Sergey Kotovets - BELTA/. Tax inspectorates of the Vitebsk region identified more than 20 cases of illegal scrap metal collection and purchase in January-May, the press center of the regional inspectorate of the Ministry of Taxes and Duties informed a BELTA correspondent. Among the violators were individuals engaged in entrepreneurial activities without state registration, as well as individual entrepreneurs who procured scrap metal without a license. As a result of control measures, almost 79 tons of scrap metal worth about Br30 million and eight vehicles with a total estimated value of over Br66 million were seized. In addition, tax authorities established illegal income received by illegal operators in the amount of over Br50 million. By the decision of the Economic Court of the region, 19 violators were brought to administrative responsibility, with the total amount of fines amounting to Br3.6 million. Goods and materials, illegal income, as well as vehicles used in the commission of offenses, totaling over Br75 million, were confiscated to the budget. -0-
