Deputy Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee Vladimir Penin met with the staff of the Braslav District Hospital

Deputy Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee Vladimir Penin met with the staff of the Braslav Central District Hospital. They discussed the development of the healthcare system and the creation of favorable conditions for the work and life of medical professionals.

The topic is relevant for the Braslav region: "Dazhynki" is ahead. But it is not only these events that urge the local authorities and the hospital staff to actively equip the medical institution with modern equipment and master the latest diagnostic and treatment technologies.

Creating conditions for active recreation and providing paid medical services, primarily to foreigners, are among the main directions of the region's development. Significant investments are planned for their implementation.

The residents of Braslav are also concerned about comfort in the hospital. Together with the medical staff, they have renovated the surgical and pediatric departments in recent years, and now more than 10 organizations in the region, along with UP "Vitebskabgaz," have financed the renovation of the neurological department. Windows, doors, and plumbing are being replaced – all to make patients feel comfortable and at ease.

One problem is staff retention, for which housing is primarily needed. In recent years, the District Executive Committee has allocated several apartments for young specialists. However, they are not enough. As assured by the Chairman of the District Executive Committee Alexander Badanin, positive changes are expected in this area as well. Shareholders for a 40-apartment building, which will be erected and commissioned next year, have already been formed. In 2019, the construction of another building will begin. Both buildings will include rental housing, which will be primarily provided to medical professionals.

During the meeting, issues of Braslav's preparation for "Dazhynki" were also touched upon, and it was discussed what labor collectives, including the Central District Hospital, can do to make the city more beautiful and life in it more comfortable.
