Remind children about fire safety

Fires cause great misfortune to people. To avoid this, it is necessary to strictly observe fire safety rules

One of the causes of fires is children's mischief, the unskilled handling of fire and flammable objects by preschool and primary school children.

Why does this happen? The answer is simple: insufficient training of children in fire safety rules. Weekends are a great reason to pay attention to children and spend time productively, studying safety rules together. Listen to fairy tales, play games, read books, watch the MES cartoon "Magic Book" with your children. Together with its characters, the Bird, the Hare, the Wolf, and the Beaver, you will become participants in exciting adventures and review the rules of safe behavior in various situations. And for older children, there is the cartoon "Special Squad 112". It will tell young viewers who rescuers are, what their job entails, and what situations they have to face.

Of course, it is impossible to foresee all situations and give advice for all occasions. But you can and should teach a child to be careful. And no one can do it better than parents. Attention, love, and care are the best means to protect your children from possible trouble. And remember: a child always looks up to you. Therefore, let your example of observing safety rules teach them and give them a healthy, happy, and safe childhood.

Dear parents, do not leave children unattended!

Organize interesting leisure activities for children, occupy them with useful things instead of idle pastime.

Do not entrust young children with watching stoves and fireplaces, or switched-on heating appliances. Do not allow them to use gas and electrical appliances independently.

Learn your home address and phone number together with your child. Post the phone numbers of emergency services in a prominent place: MES, ambulance, police, and gas emergency service.

Tell children that if they detect a fire, they must immediately call the MES and warn neighbors about the fire.

Explain to a child that in case of fire, they must not hide under any circumstances, but should try to leave the apartment or house as quickly as possible.

A child should know: smoke is much more dangerous than fire. In a smoky room, cover your nose and mouth with a wet cloth, lie on the floor, and crawl to the exit – there is less smoke near the floor.

In case of a fire in the stairwell, it is forbidden to use the elevator, as it may shut down.

Remember these rules, tell them to your children – protect their lives! In case of smoke or fire, call 101 or 112 immediately.
