Tax law violations were identified in 98% of the inspected business entities in the Vitebsk region

According to the results of inspections of enterprises and organizations in the Vitebsk region, Br26.7 billion was received by the budget in 2012, the press center of the Ministry of Taxes and Duties of Belarus for the Vitebsk region informed a BELTA correspondent.

Last year, tax inspectorates in the region inspected over 7.7 thousand operating business entities. Violations of legislation on taxes and entrepreneurship were identified in 98% of cases.

As a result of control measures, taxes, penalties, and administrative fines totaling Br27.7 billion were additionally accrued. Following the inspections, an additional Br26.7 billion was received by the budget of the Vitebsk region. Furthermore, inspections of the validity of value-added tax refunds prevented Br14.4 billion in illegal tax refunds from the budget.

Out of the total number of operating entities inspected in 2012, 165 operated without violations.
