Our Children: Vladimir Andreichenko visited the Begoml Special Boarding School
In anticipation of the New Year, a delegation led by the Chairman of the House of Representatives, Vladimir Andreichenko, visited the Begoml Special Boarding School for children with disabilities. For the guests, the staff and students of the institution prepared a colorful performance that will remain in everyone's memory. According to tradition, the children were presented with gifts.
The "Our Children" campaign is held under the patronage of the President for the 27th time. Children from orphanages, correctional and developmental education and rehabilitation centers, and various social institutions eagerly await it. And every year, adults prepare something special for them. Today, the students of the Begoml Special Boarding School plunged into a real fairy tale. Long-awaited guests shared it with them on this day.
Chairman of the House of Representatives Vladimir Andreichenko congratulated the children on the upcoming New Year. He has been visiting the institution for over 10 years:
– It is a pleasure to be with you on this day because we, adults, also return to childhood for a moment. I have been coming to your school for many years. It is always warm and cozy here. I want to express my gratitude to the teachers who work here, the educators, nannies, and cooks. Throughout their studies, they share everything with you: joy, successes, and difficulties. Thank you to them. I wish everyone peace, kindness, and love. May all your wishes come true in the new year.
The children, of whom there are almost 90 in the institution, were presented with sweet gifts. And the school received a color printer, which will be useful to make lessons for the children even more engaging. The director, Valery Mikhailovsky, says that children from all over the Vitebsk region study here. Most of them are orphans. They need care and support. This is provided by the teachers:
– We have dedicated people working here. We are glad that we are not forgotten. RThe children tried hard to prepare an interesting play. And what joy it was for them to prepare this New Year's performance! Several weeks of daily rehearsals, choosing costumes – it's not easy, but everything turned out well.
This year, the New Year's play was dedicated to the adventures of Snegurochka. According to the plot, she was kidnapped by Koschei. Brave heroes decide to rescue Santa Claus's granddaughter – Alyosha Popovich and the horse Yuliy. And, of course, in the end, good triumphs over evil.
Children of different ages participate in the play. Eighth-grader Veronika Masalovich was fortunate enough to try her hand at acting:
– I am so happy. Today I dance and sing a lot. But in the future, I want to become a hairdresser. This profession is close to me. ForI guess this is a New Year's Eve wish. I'm sure it will come true.
