"Our Children": Vladimir Terentyev visited special preschool educational institutions in Vitebsk
– In the middle of this year, through the regional budget, the main department for education of the regional executive committee purchased specialized equipment for kindergartens in the regional center. Such an event was held for the first time. And today, on the eve of the New Year holidays, our task is to see how the equipment is used in practice, – noted Vladimir Terentiev.
The head of the Vitebsk region's deputy corps emphasized that using the example of special kindergartens, it can be confidently said that barriers turn into opportunities: play installations help educators and teachers, and most importantly, they give children the opportunity to develop and adapt.
– Our institution is attended by 18 children, 16 of whom have the status of a child with a disability, – said the head of special kindergarten No. 1, Natalia Egorova. – An adaptive environment for the educational, correctional and developmental process has been created in the preschool institution. Now there is a sensory corner with a large number of stimulators. For example, for auditory perception, there is a light ball, a panel with various water sounds. For relaxation and unwinding, there is a floor with a soft covering, a beanbag chair, soft lighting, light relaxing music – all this helps the child to do relaxing exercises in a comfortable environment.
In another special kindergarten No. 64, which is attended by 60 pupils with severe speech impairments and learning difficulties, the "Korablik" (Little Ship) group was equipped thanks to the allocated funds. In particular, to relieve emotional tension, there are two transformable chairs, an air-bubble column for relaxation, a "seclusion" corner, and much more.
– By participating in such events, you immerse yourself in a special atmosphere and, in return, receive sincere emotions, a positive mood, and inspiration from the children, – emphasized Vladimir Terentyev. – On the eve of the New Year, I want to wish the children health, and also express words of gratitude to everyone who helps them; it is priceless.
