Natalia Kochanova: “Don’t brush people aside!”
The first issue raised, problems with transport provision, turned out to be relevant not only for residents of Polotsk but also for other cities and districts of Belarus.
As a rule, transport operators that regulate the number of public transport vehicles and their schedules are located in regional cities, and therefore cannot objectively assess the situation on the ground.
– People have many complaints about this issue. Therefore, it was discussed at a meeting with the President. The task was set to address the problem of transport provision in cities and districts, – emphasized Natalya Ivanovna.
In this case, a man complained about the non-observance of the bus schedule №№ 27 and 30. Often, transport does not arrive on time, and sometimes it is canceled without warning. Natalya Kochanova instructed a representative of Vitebskoblauto-trans to deal with this issue.
Three women came to the reception with a request to connect their apartments to electric heating.
– Only three apartments in our entire building have been connected to electric heating, and there are not enough capacities for the rest, – explained the women. – The plan is to install it only in 2030. It's too long to wait.
Natalya Kochanova promised to review the plan and move the installation of electric heating to next year.
Several consecutive appeals were related to heating issues.
– Why are there so many appeals on this issue from residents of one district? Do not dismiss people! – Natalya Kochanova addressed the head of the housing and communal services of the Polotsk district.
During the reception, the Chairperson of the Council of the Republic contacted the Minister of Housing and Communal Services of Belarus, Gennady Turbilo. And set him the task to pay attention to Polotsk and take personal control of heating issues.
The reception of citizens will last all day, as it is important for members of the Council of the Republic to know what people are living for and what concerns them, in order to maximally assist in solving the problems that arise.
