Natalia Kochanova: Housing, jobs, and decent wages are the key to the development of small towns
In the Braslav district, 67 large families need to improve their housing conditions. Currently, the period for which they can build housing with the involvement of preferential funds is too long, believes Natalya Kochanova. She noted that the President's Administration always has a positive attitude towards all proactive proposals from local areas aimed at improving the housing situation. "Feel free to contact us, we are always ready to discuss these issues. After all, the development of small towns depends on providing people with housing, jobs, and decent wages," Natalya Kochanova emphasized.
The Head of the President's Administration drew the special attention of leaders at all levels to their attitude towards the entrusted scope of work. "99% of everything depends on the leader. Under the same economic conditions in the country, the situation is completely different. Where people work effectively, there is a result. Success belongs to those who want to and strive to work," Natalya Kochanova is confident. - And I will repeat once again, you need to listen carefully to the President. Take the recent visit of the head of state to Kostyukovichi or last year's farm in the Mogilev region as an example and think about what is happening in your own farm. Every leader must be aware of and bear responsibility for their people and the order at the facility, and the efficiency of work."
According to Natalya Kochanova, the attitude towards people, regular meetings of local leaders with the population, timely informing about current issues, and assistance in solving pressing problems are also of key importance. "It is important to hear a person, help them solve a pressing life problem, and treat them humanely. Then people will treat you accordingly," said the Head of the President's Administration.
For 2019, the task for the construction and commissioning of a total area of residential buildings in the Braslav district is almost 9.7 thousand sq. m, including 7.6 thousand sq. m at the expense of individual developers. For January-July of this year, the commissioning of individual housing construction amounted to about 2 thousand sq. m, or 26% of the annual target. To increase the pace of housing commissioning by individual developers, the Braslav District Executive Committee, together with rural executive committees, constantly carries out work on the selection and formation of land plots for the construction of single-family residential buildings. As of August 1, there are 165 vacant plots for individual housing construction in the district (including 59 for auction), including 41 plots (including 23 for auction) in Braslav. The task will be completed by commissioning a 40-apartment shared construction residential building in the district center (its commissioning is planned for the fourth quarter) and individual housing construction, the main volume of construction and installation works for which is carried out during the favorable period of the year.
