The National Bank of Belarus has sufficient funds and refutes rumors about their absence in ATMs
May 20, Minsk / Lyudmila Sats - BELTA /. The National Bank of Belarus has enough money and refutes rumors about its absence in ATMs. This was reported to a BELTA correspondent by Anatoly Drozdov, Head of the Information Department of the National Bank.
"The National Bank of Belarus calls these rumors foolish and strange," said Anatoly Drozdov. "There are no logical explanations for such a measure as limiting cash withdrawals."
The National Bank believes that the rumors that have appeared are part of a chain of similar rumors that lead to the population actively buying goods, which are not and are not expected to be in short supply in Belarus, as they are produced in our country.
"The National Bank of Belarus has enough cash to ensure its uninterrupted circulation in the country," Anatoly Drozdov emphasized.
He also noted that the panic demand of the population for cash Belarusian rubles may lead to the absence of banknotes in individual ATMs. The National Bank asks citizens not to worry about this, as bank cash-in-transit employees replenish ATMs with new banknotes in a timely manner. -0-
