May 22, Minsk /BELTA/. The Braslav Lakes National Park plans to double the volume of tourist services, the acting Director General of the national park, Andrei Kudin, told a BELTA correspondent.
If today the recreation centers located within the park can accommodate only 180 people, then in a few years 400 beds will be available for tourists. The number of parking spaces will increase from 500 to 1000. "Investments will also go towards replacing equipment, purchasing new furniture, and creating original interiors," Andrei Kudin emphasized.
Moreover, it is planned to use Br17 billion for these purposes. As the interlocutor admitted, Br3 billion has already been allocated to the park this year. Part of it has already been directed towards the modernization of existing facilities. Thus, in July, the third building will be commissioned at the "Drivyaty" tourist complex. The "Zolovo" recreation center also awaits reconstruction.
"Today, we want to provide opportunities not only for the business elite but also for the middle class," noted Andrei Kudin. For them, more than 20 economy-class rooms will appear at the "Drivyaty" tourist complex this year. Accommodation prices in them will be slightly lower than in other apartments.
